Coronavirus has brought the world to a standstill. The incoming months will be quite taxing on most of us, as everyone is asked to stay indoors and most work is suspended. During the chaos, Nvidia has cancelled its GTC event, in order to give some relief to the workers.
No product releases until further notice
At first, Nvidia took to holding the event online. Then as the situation grew worse, the tech-giant shifted to press releases. Now, however, the company has cancelled the event altogether, stating that people need to focus on stopping the virus.
Update on the upcoming lineup
Jenson has released a statement which says that:
"We will still stream tons of great content from researchers and developers who have prepared great talks.
This is a time to focus on our family, our friends, our community. Our employees are working from home. Many hourly workers will not need to work but they’ll all be fully paid."
Which is a good deed on Nvidia's part, as people still need to expend resources to survive.
