What happens to RTX 20 series now that the 30 series is here?
September 04, 2020
A gaming PC is a showpiece of every gamer. Also, its the goal every gamer strives towards. To own a PC, with powerful enough hardware to run all games modern and old on the highest graphical preset. except for when you're gaming competitive play. Then you need your hardware to pump out the max frames it is capable of. Here is a basic guide of things that you need to be aware of before buying a PC.
Well, first thing's first.
However, if you are interested in playing story mode games at demanding resolutions(2K and 4K) at the highest preset? Then you need to dig deep in your pockets because you're looking for an enthusiast gaming PC that will just hit the sweet spots and give you a dazzling visual experience.
Now that your budget has been set you need to be aware of the hardware and how individual components will perform in sync with each other in order to get the most out of your system.
No compromising on the PSU
Not to mention that you need an adequate PSU to power your components and give them the required TDP. Make sure, you don't compromise on the PSU quality as this might result in hardware faults that will make you spend on a better quality PSU later on then now, so better spend your bucks now instead of more buck spending later on. Because, if the components don't get enough power they will just give you less performance and this might damage the components as well, resulting in arduous repairs and replacements.
RGB
It has been a widely established rule that RGB lighting completes a gamer build. A gaming PC is just not aesthetically pleasing without the breathing effect of colourful lights in your pc. I would suggest that if RGB lighting fits into your budget then sure go for it. But, if you're sacrificing performance for aesthetics then don't. The frames that you get in games don't depend on whether your PC has RGB lighting or not. They depend on the performance capability of your components. Conclusion? If you can afford it then go for it, otherwise don't. You can spend that money on a better performing component. So choose wisely.
Future Upgrades
Technology is always evolving. Tech Companies are always coming up with new components that are better in performance while saving power than their previous generation counterparts. Better to invest in parts that can be upgraded later instead of swapping the whole PC. Get a big case with access to all components of your PC for ease of upgradability. For example, if you want to pair a 2 slot GPU with your case but you want to upgrade to a 2.5 slot or a 2.75 slot card, make sure your case has adequate space.
Verdict on Pricing
If you're looking to run the latest AAA titles in med to high preset on decent FPS at 1080p then you can get a budget build in around PKR 50K($300) Now as you start to go from 50K-100K($300-600) you can play these titles on Ultra preset and you can even hit 2K res with some tweaking. Once you go beyond PKR100-150K($600-900) you can easily hit 2K Ultra preset and even 4K resolution too with some tweaks. Now if you go beyond PKR 150K-200K ($1000+) you are in the sweet zone of the 4K ultra preset at 60 fps. Anything beyond that is just overkill. But if you're an enthusiast and money isn't a problem then sure go-ahead and future proof your PC with the latest components.
