November 29, 2020
There have been a lot of rumors regarding the upcoming 30 series by Nvidia. Everyone has their own set of facts and figures that they are sharing about the card series. Although, there is not a lot of credibility for the information. So, take it with a grain of salt.
In January a post got some traction where a user posted on their twitter account some information regarding two cards from the 30 series: Ampere GA 103 and GA 104.
However, everything will be confirmed in March at GTC 2020, where Nvidia's CEO is expected to give us a more clear picture.
Following the pattern of the 10 series and 20 series, we the gamers of Pakistan will have to pay a premium in some cases in order to get our hands on these cards. A fair example would be the enthusiast card of the 20 series 2080ti whose market price is around Rs 200,000 depending on the variant. Not everyone has that much money lying around. It's a sad day for us gamers living in Pakistan. In order to get a GPU, we are paying for:
So the card costs us more than its price in dollars. Hence, many of us just go to youtube and watch benchmarks or walkthroughs to experience the GPUs ourselves. However, there is some hope for us as according to some rumours, in order to counter AMD's competitive prices of their card. But then again, as I said in the start, take it with a grain of salt. Although one can certainly hope that this new series will go easy on our pockets, let's see what the actual picture is once the GTC 2020 comes. The cards are expected to be available in the local market in the last quarter of 2020. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Let us know in the comment section how much price are you expecting from Nvidia regarding their 30 series. We'd love to hear from you.
